2 Chronicles 32 (February 1)

                                                           One Closed, One Opened

            “After these things…”

Yesterday we learned about the importance of reviving the revival, or in other words we must continue to:

“…press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me.  Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead.  I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 3:12-14)

The search for God is not a one-day’s journey; it must be a continual and constant quest, for the rest of our lives.

A good reason to remain strong in the faith, are the devil’s attacks.  If we are submitted to God, growing in the Lord, and “revived,” then the enemy shall flee from us.

Do not believe for a moment, that when the attacks are gone, they will never come back.  The devil is like a hungry lion, spying to detect the weakest prey to pounce on him.

Judah was in the middle of one of its greatest revivals, when they heard the roar of the evil “lion.”  As they were serving God, and destroying idols, Sennacherib came to invade Jerusalem in the name of Satan.

The devil (through his servants) planted the seed of doubt first, and then mixed the truth with wicked lies.  After this, he attempted to intimidate the people with fear, and when nothing else worked, he just plainly lied to the people of Judah.

Be vigilant fellow Christian and watch for the devil’s tricks after a victory or revival.  When you pray, close one eye unto God, and open the other one to watch out for the devil.
